What day is it…oh yeah Day 11! Theme for the day – MIXED BAG – and it was another fun day of painting. I’m sharing one painting today because I want everyone to come to the party to see ALL the paintings on Sunday, November 2nd from 1-3 at Fraidy Cat Studio. Been working hard at getting it cleaned up and ready for the BIG REVEAL.  I hope to see you there. … and I promise to post at least two paintings tomorrow.  It’s HAPPY HOUR… cheers! 😉   Today’s paintings are sold. Presenting… THE RUTH YUHAS 5x5x5=125 CHALLENGE

I’ll be painitng 5 paintings, 5 days a week, for 5 weeks That’s 125 paintings in 25 days! That’s A LOT of painting in a short time. It’s more than I’ve ever done before by far. I’m nervous and excited to be devoting this much focus of my time and energy on producing my art. And I’d love to have you join me. There are two ways you can come along with me on my journey: 1. Be a Sponsor of A DAY IN THE LIFE OF AN ARTIST. For $225, you may select a day of my challenge and then own the 5 paintings I paint that day. 2. Be a Cheerleader. Follow my journey and cheer me on (there are going to be some grueling days; I’m gonna need you!) as I post updates and photos from each day’s work. Whether you become a sponsor or a cheerleader, you are invited to the challenge reception where all 125 paintings will be on display for one day only. Sponsors will be able to pick up their paintings and also have the opportunity to trade any of their paintings with other sponsors who attend the reception. It will be a fun and exciting celebration of our journey together. For those who cannot make it to the celebration, shipping of the paintings will be arranged. So, if you feel inspired to be a sponsor or a cheerleader, please sign up to follow my journey by entering your email in the subscriber box to the right. I was framed! Just kidding…my paintings were.

These aren’t my latest paintings but I just finished the frame today.  They are made of plywood and painted to look like rusty metal.  The paintings are velcroed in so they can be easily changed out or rearranged.  The frame is 22″x 22″ and the paintings are each about 6″x 6″. I hope everyone had a very Happy Thanksgiving.  I’m still stuffed.  I think I know how the turkey must have felt.  More new paintings coming...
